I think we develop our personal philosophy early on in our teen years when we're trying to figure out our place in the world. I don't think we have the words for it, those come later on once we gain more experience as our assumptions about the world are confirmed or denied. And then some time around where you and I are now in age, we start to reflect on the wisdom we've gathered over the years and the desire to pass that wisdom on grows stronger.
